Chocolate Gravy



Here is a recipe for chocolate gravy (serving size 4):

-  1/4 cup butter
-  2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-  2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
-  1 cup whole milk
-  1/3 cup granulated sugar
-  1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Melt butter in a small saucepan.  Add in flour and cocoa powder and whisk until paste is formed.  Mix in milk, sugar, and vanilla extract and stir until thick (2-3 minutes).  Serve warm, traditionally with homemade biscuits.  Enjoy!

*This is something I used to have growing up on the weekends, as a treat, for breakfast.  It can also be served as a dessert.
